We came upon this prayer station on our return trip from Cartago, Costa Rica. It is on a well paved road leading back to Siquirres, Route 10 but I can not seem to find any tourist information on it. If you head from Siquirres to Turrialba en route to Cartago you will find it on your left hand side. The box that is at the top of the fountain has a picture of Mary in it and she appears to have angels guarding her. The vista there is really impressive. You can see for miles and miles. Stunning.

Barry processed this in HDR because the shading of the shrine’s roof and the mid-day sun of the vista were two dramatically different exposures.
