A Black Cowled Oriole found on Caribbean Slope

This Black Cowled Oriole was very aggressive to the other birds that had gathered around the mound of papaya and bananas we placed on the feeding stand. They favor forest edges and gardens in the Caribbean lowlands and foothills. Recent sightings on the Pacific slope of Costa Rica may mean that their territory is expanding.
